Emergency Lighting Compliance

Expert Advice Concept. The meeting at the white office table.

There is regulatory guidance that governs emergency lighting building layouts. The industry code of practice (BS-5266) defines what emergency lighting is required in certain areas of a building and highlights areas that require specific attention. Experience has shown that in most UK buildings, there are numerous areas that are non-compliant, putting the client in a position of risk.

As a result of horrific tragedies such as the Grenfell Tower disaster, there have been recent changes to the building safety act, this places increased emphasis on building operators to run checks and ensure sufficient provision of life safety systems.

Our expertise and experience are valuable assets to both building operators and their FM partners. We are here to support with assessments and advice on areas of non-compliance, most importantly we can source, install and commission appropriate solutions to address these issues.
